Vitis girdiana - Desert Grape

Deciduous vine to 20 - 50 ft. Fast growing. Silvery green heart-shaped leaves. Edible black grapes with large seeds in late summer. Birds love the fruit. Full sun to part shade. Higher tolerance for heat and arid conditions than V. californica. Drought tolerant, prefers moderate water. Tolerates a wide variety of soils. Hardy to 15º F.
