Simmondsia chinensis - Jojoba

Evergreen shrub to 4 - 8 ft. Grey-green leaves, rounded form. Native to desert regions of Southern California. Plants are dioecious, females bear edible fruit which contain jojoba oil. Full sun, low water. Prefers fast-draining soils. Hardy to 15 - 20º F.
