Scrophularia californica - California Bee Plant

Evergreen perennial to 1-2 ft, with finely textured stems extending up to 4 ft tall. Tiny red flowers from late winter to early summer are highly attractive to bees. Also hosts the Variable Checkerspot & Common Buckeye butterflies. Prefers dappled light to bright shade. Requires some supplemental water. Hardy to 20º F
