Salvia ‘Mrs. Beard’ - Mrs. Beard Creeping Sage

Evergreen perennial ground cover to 2 ft tall by 6 ft wide. Hybrid of S. sonomensis and S. mellifera. Fragrant green leaves, with pale purple flowers in spring. Attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Seeds are a food source for quail and other native birds. Full sun along the coast to part sun inland. Low water. Tolerates sand, clay, and alkaline soils. Hardy to 15º F.
