Salvia mellifera 'Terra Seca' - Terra Seca Black Sage

Evergreen perennial to 2 ft tall by 6 ft wide. Fragrant green leaves on trailing stems, with white to pale blue flowers in summer that attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Seeds are a food source for quail and other native birds. Great on slopes, good for erosion control. Looks nice spilling over a retaining wall. Sun to part shade. Low water. Tolerates sand, clay, and serpentine soils. Hardy to 20º F.
