Salvia 'Calamity Jane' - Calamity Jane Black Sage

Evergreen perennial to 3 ft tall by 4 ft wide. Hybrid of Salvia mellifera and S. leucophylla. Fragrant green leaves on trailing stems, with pale blue flowers in summer that attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Seeds are a food source for quail and other native birds. Great on slopes, good for erosion control. Looks nice spilling over a retaining wall. Full sun to part shade. Low water. Tolerates sand, clay, and serpentine soils. Hardy to 20º F
