Deciduous shrub to 6 ft. Palmate green leaves, with darling golden yellow flowers in spring that attract hummingbirds, bumble bees, and monarch butterflies. Edible berries in the fall attract song birds. Leaves provide some fall color. Good under oaks. Full sun along the coast to shade inland. Drought tolerant once established, prefers moderate water. Tolerates a wide range of soils, does well with mulch. Hardy to 0º F.
