Rhamnus californica 'Mound San Bruno' - San Bruno Coffeeberry

Evergreen shrub to 4 ft tall by 8 ft wide. Dense green leaves, with red to black berries in summer and fall that attract a plethora of birds. Responds well to shearing; makes a nice hedge or large scale ground cover. Host plant for the Pale Swallowtail butterfly. Full sun along coast to light shade inland. Low to moderate water. Tolerates clay soils, easier in sandy soils. Hardy to 15º F.
