Quercus tomentella - Island Oak

Evergreen tree to 50+ ft tall by 30+ ft wide. Rare oak, native to Channel Islands and Guadalupe Island off the coast of Baja California. Luxuriant toothed, dark green leaves with grayish bark that turns brown with age. Upright form. Great for wildlife habitat. Full to part sun. Low water, deep watering once a month recommended when annual rainfall is below 15 inches. Hardy to 10° F
