Deciduous tree to 60+ ft tall by 50 ft wide. Deeply lobed bright green leaves emerge in spring. Acorns in fall support myriad wildlife. Bare branches form an attractive silhouette in winter. Native to the central valley and coastal ranges of California. Fastest of our native oaks, growth rate averaging around 4 ft per year. Full to part sun. Moderate water. Prefers rich soils.
