Quercus engelmannii - Engelmann Oak, Mesa Oak

Evergreen tree to 30+ ft tall by 60+ ft wide. Rare oak, native to SoCal and Northern Baja. Beautiful blue grey leaves. Upright form in youth develops into broad, gnarled form in maturity. Great for wildlife habitat. Full to part sun. Low water, deep watering once a month recommended when annual rainfall is below 15 inches. Can be drought-deciduous. Hardy to 20º F.
