Evergreen shrub or small tree to 15 ft. Sharply toothed green leaves, with tiny yellow flowers in the spring and acorns in the fall. Great oak tree for smaller gardens, also makes a good hedge in larger gardens. Excellent wildlife habitat value. Host plant for many native butterflies. Full to part sun. Low water. No summer water once established. Hardy to 15º F.
