Penstemon centranthifolius - Scarlet Bugler

Evergreen perennial to 2 ft, with spikes of brilliant red tubular flowers to 4 ft tall in spring and summer. Highly attractive to hummingbirds, also great for bumblebees and butterflies. Good in containers. Native from Central California into Baja California. Full sun. Low water. Prefers poor, rocky soils with good drainage. Hardy to -10º F
