Malacothamnus clementinus - San Clemente Island Mallow

Evergreen shrub to 3 ft. Pretty, pale pink flowers in spring and summer. Great for a butterfly garden. Also attracts bees and birds. Rare plant native to San Clemente Island, endangered in the wild. Reproduces asexually via rhizome. Full sun to part shade. Low water. Tolerates a wide range of soil types, naturally occurs in rocky, fast draining soils. Hardy to around 15º F.
