Hoita macrostachya - Leather Root

Deciduous perennial to 6 ft. Clusters of purple pea-shaped flowers emerge from hairy upright stems spring into summer. Vigorous root system; great choice for bank stabilization. Part sun. Usually found in moist areas; appreciates supplemental water. Tolerates a wide variety of soils. Hardy to 15º F
