Evergreen perennial to 4+ ft. Bright green leaves on sprawling stems. Vigorous bloomer. Clusters of brilliant red flowers in summer and fall attract hummingbirds. Good in containers. Rare plant, native to the Channel Islands. Tolerates seaside conditions. Full sun along the coast to shade inland. Drought tolerant, best with supplemental water. Tolerates a wide variety of soils, including sandy soils and clay soils. Hardy to 25º F.
