Barrelcactus to 1 ft tall. Ribbed, green flesh adorned with spines ranging in color from red to grey. Yellow flowers in spring. Perfect for a rock garden or as a container plant. Rare plant in the wild, found only in San Diego County and parts of Baja California. Full sun. Low water. Fast-draining soils. Hardy to 30º F
