Epilobium canum 'Bert's Bluff' - Bert' Bluff California Fuchsia

Semi-evergreen shrub to 2 - 3 ft tall and spreading to 4 ft. Brilliant orange-red tubular flowers in spring and fall. Attracts hummingbirds. Semi-dormant in winter; prune to ground in winter to encourage lush new growth in spring. Spreads in rhizome. Full sun along the coast to part shade inland. Drought tolerant, looks best with occasional supplemental water. Tolerates variety of soils, including clay and serpentine soils. Hardy to 15º F.
