Datura wrightii - Jimsonweed

Herbaceous perennial to 3 ft tall by 6 ft wide. Velvety silver green leaves with striking white flowers. Pollinated at night by hawkmoths. Blooms in spring through summer. Sacred plant of indigenous communities. All parts of the plant are poisonous. Full sun, low water— no summer water. Tolerates clay soils, prefers fast-draining soils. Hardy to  25º F.
