Coreopsis gigantea (syn. Leptosyne gigantea) - Giant Coreopsis

Summer-deciduous perennial to 4 ft. Sculptural trunk topped with a burst of finely divided green leaves, with bright yellow daisy flowers in winter and spring. Great for a pollinator garden. Good bank stabilizer. Also a great conversation piece! Full sun along the coast to part shade inland. Low water, little to no summer water. Prefers fast draining soils. Hardy to 25º F.
