Baileya multiradiata - Desert Marigold

Evergrey perennial to 2 ft. Silver foliage with lemon yellow flowers in spring and summer. The flowers attract bees and butterflies; the seeds provide forage for songbirds. Deadhead to extend bloom season. Great in a rock garden. Short-lived, but may reseed if conditions are right. Full sun, low water. Requires fast draining soils low in organic matter. Hardy to 25º F.
