Bahiopsis laciniata (syn. Viguiera laciniata) - San Diego Sunflower

Evergreen perennial to 2-3 ft tall by 3-4 ft wide. Forms a low mound with yellow daisy-like flowers nearly year round. Attracts butterflies and songbirds. Nice cut flower. Deadhead to extend bloom season. Prune back entire plant in late summer to maintain a dense, compact form. Full sun, low water. Looks best with some supplemental summer water. Tolerates a wide variety of soils. Hardy to 32º F
