Atriplex canescens - Four-Wing Saltbrush

Evergreen shrub, often in the 2 - 4 ft range but size can be variable. Fast growing and quite tough in extreme conditions. Pale green leaves, with flowers in spring and summer that don’t look like much to humans but get the pollinators all jazzed up. Seed heads add a nice seasonal texture in late summer / fall, and the seeds are attractive to songbirds. Full sun. Low water. Tolerates many soil types, including saline soils. Hardy to 0° F
