Asclepias fascicularis - Narrow Leaf Milkweed

Deciduous perennial to 3 ft tall by 1 ft wide. Upright stems with narrow, light green leaves. Lovely clusters of pale pink flowers in summer. Host plant for the Monarch butterfly. Plant several together to support caterpillars; mix with nectary flowers to attract adult butterflies. Full sun. Drought tolerant, prefers moderate water. Tolerates clay and alkaline soils, prefers faster draining soils. Hardy to 5º F.
