Perennial ground cover to 1 ft tall by 2 ft wide and spreading by stolons in wet areas. Lovely white flowers in spring. Green leaves turn red in fall, semi-dormant in winter. Full sun to part shade. Native to marshes and riparian zones; requires lots of water, tolerates standing water. Tolerates just about any soil type, including saline and alkaline soils, as long as it is wet. Hardy to 5º F
